Hi,

I'm switching from mac os x to linux and I setup a fresh install on the linux machine.  I'm checking everything out at the moment, but I notice when I use the webmail in the linux interface (port 7080), it hangs on some of the options.  Like spam settings will just spin and spin.  Holiday settings comes up after a long delay.

Sometimes I get "lock failed".  Anyone know what I'm missing or have failed to do.  The only thing I've done so far, on this version 39a, is turn off spf and add my test account.  I've even set the second option in the domain for the domain to 127.0.0.1(the spot you put mail.domain.com) in case it was a dns issue.  Some work in the webmail interface and others are just slow to no response.

It sounds like webmail is not able to connect to the user.cgi.

This generally happens if you specify a hostname in the domains page that resolves to an external network ip address that you cannot connect to from inside your network.

Try manually explicitly specifying where webmail tries connecting to user cgi in surgehost.ini or webmail.ini using a setting along the following lines:
user_cgi_http_prefix http://127.0.0.1:7080
And confirming you have connectivity using something like:

If that does not get you any further, generate some detailed webmail log files using webmail.ini settings:
log_user marijn* marijn.log marijn_sk.log
log_size 10000000
and look at / send us those log files for further comment.
