I think the answer is, yes you can use a plus, and if you
add a redirect rule
	username+*example.com --> usernameexample.com
then it should work as desired... You could do it like this
for an entire domain I think.

g_redirect was="*+taggadget.net"
to="%1gadget.net"

(I haven't tried this, so give it a test to be sure )
