| If email user is NOT found in domain
forward to this server |

Hi,
I´m looking for the following option:
"If email user is NOT found in domain forward to this
server"
I have two mailservers and some domains are servered by both
mailservers. Some users are on Server A and the other users
are on
Server B.
Kind regards,
Binroth

Simply have only one MX record in the DNS for the primary
IP address of that domain.
That will eliminate emails arriving to the wrong server
where it's apparently receiving a "user not found".

That won't work for users on new server trying to send email to old
mail server or vis-versa, BarryZ.
Binroth,
In the WebAdmin, under the domain in question, go to Nice Features
--> Migration Page. That's where you will find the options you are
looking for.

http://www.netwinsite.com/surgemail/help/domain.htm#fallback_relay
fallback_relay - Fallback host to relay non existent accounts to
Specifies a default host to send messages to that are not found in the local user database. This allows you to transition between two mail systems, as new accounts are created the emails will be delivered to SurgeMail, and ones that don't exist will be sent on to the old system automatically. There are several options to make this work using servers that only accept mail if they can do a reverse lookup.
Syntax: fallback_relay string

Hi,
There is a domain setting
fallback_relay "ip/name of host to relay to"
forwards emails to the specified server if the rcpt does not
exist in
the domain.
You should also think about setting
fallback_check "true" - this will check the user
exists on the other
system before sending the email there.
This assumes that domain is setup on the machine even if the
users don't
exist in the domain.
Otherwise you'd use a gateway setting.
Regards,
Stuart
