Generally the imap module in the new version is more
efficient than the
prevoius one.

Can you send me a
	tellmail status
showing the server under load and your surgemail.ini,
thanks

also let me know what platform you are on. if linux try
	http://netwi
nsite.com/ftp/misc/l1.tar.gz
and let me know results and send me status from that build
under load.

terrible. The CPU usage is a lot higher than normal. and the
system has ground to a halt. The performance previously was
fine.

usage but the average loads was peaking over 20 which is
crazily high and was nowhere-near what it was previously =(

It should be primarily used for reporting but might be used
to a limited
extent to apply the thread limits etc. I'll have to do some
investigation.
I'll try and post a more thorough answer tomorrow

OK thanks... I've done some investigation. Indeed, as it
stands the SSL port
imap connections are not getting counted as IMAP threads and
as a result is
also bypassing some of the checks and limits that normally
get applied. TLS
based SSL imap connections are not affected.

I'll run it past chris first to see if there is any reason
for this (I don't
see why there would be) and then make sure it is fixed.
