Image errors

Hello,

I installed the latest stable version of typo3 as I habe
running a very old 
one. At the install tool I get the note that
"combine" is not available. Ok, 
it is now called composite. I created a symlink but now
images created for 
menus on the fly do not work

convert: UnableToOpenBlob 
typo3temp/temp/4f70e9d8025df9f5ba68ca24ed42b389_maskNT.gif:
No such file or 
directory., referer:
combine: UnableToOpenBlob 
typo3temp/temp/b95cf3e2be10545dc741de241cff3297.gif: No such
...
PHP Warning: imagecreate(): Invalid image dimensions in
/home

What did I miss to setup or install?

You should set "composite" in the install tool and
not via symlink.
There's an entry in the GFX section that defaults to
"combine".
So change it and then run the different tests at the
"Image Processing"
section.

Thanks for this hint.

I changed this and the error about combine is gone

I still have the errors about the missing files in
typo3temp/temp:

convert: UnableToOpenBlob 
typo3temp/temp/6895512abb8cf080bbf82236214b9f01_maskNT.gif:
No such file or 
directory, referer:

typo3temp/temp exists and some other files are in this dir.

Any hints?
