I'm afraid very afraid. In 40+ years of gardening I have never had
roses then we found two end of the season specials for two dollars
each. Then I took pictures and I finally get what makes other people
excited about roses. Comments welcome about the photos or roses ( or
is that another listserve ). Rog

IKWYM, my sort of gardening is if it survives a regular hacking back
and living under Oaks it stays, otherwise not a chance, so my garden is
mainly fruit, roses (prickly bu66ers like me), I like a lot of older
roses like Doris Tysterman and fuchias, white knight being very
prolific! http://farm1.static.flickr.com/157/436786336_273cd6df66_b.jpg

And just a rose shot

I hear you, Roger. With as many years gardening, I have always been
kind of ho-hum about orchids - they never did well for me so I did not
like them <G>

Well, son and his wife gave me an orchid for mother's day last year and
a month later I got the D50 and found that orchids make fantastic photo
subjects. Mr. Bullfrog built me a bigger green house and now the
orchids outnumber the people in this house 10 to 1 - and they are
thriving (both orchids and people!)

Your tea rose photos are lovely, all that's missing is the perfume!

Aloha,
Pam
