The in Camera Editing Functions are included primarily to draw the
crowd who don't wish to bother with post processing. They can let
the Sacred Box do it all and just plug the Box or even the memory
card into a printer for the final result.

But that's not the crown who's going to buy the D2 or D3 series so why do we pay for something we don't need.
Leave off the bells and whistles and invest in a basic machine that works better.
