Take the percussive maintenance carefully, I've seen one of these
that had split apart when the front of the lense took a knock...The
whole front assemble parted from the zoom extension inner part.
A co-worker who's been using one has just shipped it back to Nikon
AGAIN as the AF's died, AGAIN, twice in 3 months.
He's not a happy bunnie as some scrotes did his office, and the ones
around him, over as well. They took PC's from the rest, but a large
wheeled Calumet case from his with a Nikon F, F2, F3's, 55 & 105
micros, some std's inc a 1.2, telephoto's and an early Nikkor 7.5mm
fisheye! The digital gear however was/is stored in a safe.
