Well, I had to work around one of the D50's foibles. I set
the shutter to bulb and used the infrared remote. Using the
IR remote, it isn't necessary to hold down the shutter
release to keep the shutter open. One touch on the IR
remote opens the shutter and the next touch closes it.
So, I opened the shutter and held a piece of black
construction paper in front of the lens. When a firework
went up, I took the paper away, then I covered the lens
after a few seconds. This way I could get multiple shots on
the same picture. Since I couldn't see through the
viewfinder, I had no idea if the camera were aimed properly.
You only saw the ones that happened to be aimed right.
There were lots that weren't <grin>.

Bob, your fireworks shots are outstanding! I am curious, how
do you
use the piece of cardboard?
Aloha,
Pam
