I have many, 18-70, 24-85, 28-70, 28-85, 28-105, 35-105, 35-70, the PRO gun for DSLR is the 17-55/2.8, it cost me $1,200.00 USD.

Here is the "odd man out" I use it as a walk-about and shoot entire wedding jobs with it:

My favorite is the is the 24-85/3.5-4.5 G AFS $300.00 USD, covers full frame and uses the sweet spot on Nikon DSLR APS/c sensor. equals a 35mm coverage of 36.96-130.9mm when you calculate with the TRUE 1.54x crop factor. TACK SHARP WIDE OPEN AT ALL FOCAL LENGTHS!

I really like the 17-35 for its focal length. While it's a little
wide, it really works out to kind of a flexible focal length "normal"
lens when you consider the crop factor. The downside is its size.
