I bought my d70 prior to a trip to the grand canyon just after it came out. I have not been
disapointed (in spite of a warranty covered repair to the kit lens, froze up). For me, at my
level of skill, it's a great camera and I love it. I think the answer, to some degree, depends on
that, and how much money a person has to spend. For us, the original price of this camera
was a lot of money to spend, and I'm not real hot to spend more when the camera works just
fine, and I'm taking great photographs with it... At the same, time, I can understan wanting
the latest toy....( I feel that way about my mac!

was that the 18-70mm lens? if so I'm going on my second tripe down that road........

I'm going to the D200 with my D70s and D50 as back ups...............
