Jim, I would be off on some of my version numbers, so I won't specify
any. To work with RAW files from the D70, you have to have a certain
version (or later) of the Adobe Camera RAW (ACR) software. If you are
a registered user of Photoshop, you can download the ACR plugin from
the Adobe web site.
I've been through several version of PS CS, and also purchased a D200,
so I've had to upgrade the ACR version to be able to access the D200
RAW files. Not to confuse you, but there are certain (later) versions
of ACR that will not work with older versions of Photoshop. I needed
this newer version of ACR to access the D200 RAW files.
For your version of Photoshop, you will need to find the proper
version of ACR that will run on your version of Photoshop, AND allow
you to access the D70 RAW files.
There should be no cost to download the proper version of ACR, if you
are a registered user of Photoshop. Just be sure you get the right
version. Hopefully someone else is running the same version of PS as
you are, and can give you specifics.
T.J.
