Since you're opening RAW files in PSE5 you'll have some controls in
the Camera Raw converter that will help. Using the Fill control will
bring up your midtones and a bit of playing with Recovery and Blacks
will help your contrast issues. These are the same as in Lightroom.
The more I use PSE5 the more I'm impressed with it. Poke around a bit
and you'll find lots of tools. Also check out www.hiddenelements.com
and grab the free toolkit for PSE5.
