A point to remember is you currently only allowed *ONE* carry-on item when
passing through security at British Airports. This is a British Airport
Authority requirement and not an airline requirement. The rule must be
killing airlines like EasyJet and RyanAir that tried to get away from
having
checked baggage.

This means if you are carrying a camera bag and a laptop bag, it all has
to
be consolidated before you can pass through security. A camera vest
however
does not count as a carry on. I used my Extra Hand Vest to carry most of
my
gear on my recent trip from UAE to Alaska via London, Toronto and
Vancouver
and had my telephoto lenses and flashes in a non-descript roller that had
room to stuff in my laptop. The laptop bag went in my wife's roller that
had our coats in it and our coats went on us to make room for the laptop
bag
and her purse.
