Thanks. I'll take a look at both sites.
Even though I am very much an amateur photographer, it is okay to do a
book of what one considers their best work, even though it really isn't
anything close to professional? Would it be a good way to get people to
critique one's work?

Absolutely. Using the book format really makes a difference in how
you present your work. It is very important to present in a
professional format . These books provide a very polished look.
Also, the books are great instant conversation starters. People asked
for copies to purchase for themselves. I sold 3 copies without even
trying. I have had all positive experiences with the book format and
plan to do a whole lot more.
