Lets see ...The UV Filter lens that I was using is the Promaster UV Filter
62 mm
Filter Factor 1 Exposure Factor 0 stops
I was using it on the Nikon AF Nikkor 70-300mm with my Nikon D70 . I wasn't
using full zoom .
I need to check out the polarizer .
I also use a TiFFen 77mm UV Protector on my 70-210 lens , I have not notice
any haze while using this lens , it might be where it is a better lens with
light .

Anita, in general digital sensors are not as sensitive to haze as film
is but it can show up in digital photos to some degree. Since your
problem is haze and not glare I do not think your filter is causing
it. Your filter, though, is not helping correct the problem. Most of
the haze is scattered UV-A wavelengths and UV filters block UV-B and
UV-C while letting most of the UV-A to be transmitted. You do have a
few options, though. Haze filters are a good option. A Haze 1 filter
will allow about 1/3 of the UV-A to pass while a Haze 2A will block
almost all of it, depending on the manufacturer. A polarizer might
also be a good option. Haze tends to be polarized in the same plane as
visible light so if you have the correct angle it can be effective.
