I would avoid any 5 section monopod, any brand, any technical solution.
Too many joints, period.
Sorry, no offense, too much engineering in my mind 
My manfrotto 679, 3 section, 2 joints only, is the most solid photo
accessory I can imagine.
Believe me or not, but it was able to sustain my 100kg to make jumps over 2m
wide water while hiking.
Second, what advantage can bring a ballhead on a monopod vs a tilt head,
other than it can be reused on other tripod?
