Hey All,

I'm a new member, certainly not new to Nikon but definitely new to this board and to digital
photography. My wife picked up a D70s for Christmas of 2006 but I just started to use it over
the last few months. Great camera and I've much to discover about it I'm sure.

One thing is puzzling me - the ISO setting starts at 200. Is there a hidden setting or tricked
to getting lower ISO's?

Thanks in advance to anyone taking the time to answer this question.

Cheers,
Ian

Ian,

Welcome to our group!

200 is the base ISO for a D70. There is no way to actually lower the
sensors sensitivity to ISO 100. Although this has been a frustration
for many of us used to shooting things like moving water, most have
resorted to neutral density or polarizing filters to achieve slower
shutter speeds.
