Hi Marilyn,
I am glad it helped. One should try not to despair. We all go through
patches when things are not moving the way we like, when we seem
stuck for ideas or lack motivation. They pass and the main thing is
if you can, as you can, see progress over some time period then all
is well. As a society we are tending to expect the quick fix, the
pill that cures it all, the software or lens that fixes our images,
even the camera that always takes great pictures (I saw a TV ad
suggesting that just last night).
I read a really interesting article in Focus magazine (fine art
photography mag) last night in an interview with John Caponigro (the
father, not the son John Paul). He was talking about the key thing in
photography is developing your inner space and from that comes your
vision, and that this takes time and effort to do.
