please, tell me/us if we'll go too far with this.

recently zeiss has introduced a line of great (?) lenses with nikon ai
bajonet. they don't provide any 'd' function, though, nor they have
any autofocus function. ok, that's a choice.

anyway, few ones amongst them have a corresponding nikon lens: for
example, the 85/1.4, the 50/1.4 and the 35/2.

i do own the nikon ones and am *very* happy of them. plus, they
autofocus on af bodies and include the 'd' feature; anyway, i was
wondering if zeiss has made optics better enough to think to replace
the nikon ones knowing they'll be far less comfortable to use for the
majority of users.

do any of you have any experience with them? do any of you have
comparison charts for these lenses (zeiss vs. nikon)?

i admit that the 'zeiss' brand on a lens is pure poetry, but they're
so damn expensive and uncomfortable (compared to nikon ones) that i
was wondering how much market they may have.

thanks for your opinions.

regards,
