Barry, I am new to the community and since you shoot a D300 maybe you 

can hep me or anyone else.  I shoot a D2X and just installed a 18-200 

VR,which to me seems like a very good lens for all around.  My question 

is: Is the D300 a better camera for all around shooting than the D2X.  

I played with one at Colonial Photo and it seemed to be almost 

everything I have in the D2X.  I also played with the 14-24 F2.8 and it 

appeared to be a great lens....Does anyone have an opinion on this?? 

Should I keep the D2X or sell it and get a D300, which appears to be 

about the same money difference.
