Dear Sir/Madam,
I've installed OSSIM in Fedora 3 on the instruction of
OSSIM Install Guide for Fedora Core 3. During my installation, I've been in
troubles as following:
1. apt-get update
Update the file: /etc/apt/sources.list with
#OSSIM rpm repository
rpm
http://www.ossim.net/ download/fedora fc3
#Freshrpms.net repository
rpm
http://ayo.freshrpms.net fedora/linux/3/i386 core updates freshrpms
#DAG
reposotory
rpm http://apt.sw.be fedora/3/en/i386 dag
When I entered the command:
http[root localhost ~]# apt-get
update

2. Goto http://localhost/phpgacl/setup.php

Failed! ERROR connecting to database,
are you sure you
specified the proper host, user name, password, and database in
admin/gacl_admin.inc.php?
Did you create the database, and give read/write
permissions to "root" already?
3. Access the OSSIM framework.
Firstly, I've started the foloowing:
- mysql server
- httpd server
- OSSIM server
- OSSIM agent
- OSSIM framewrok
http://localhost/ossim
