Public Review Begins for DSS v1.0
The OASIS Digital Signature Services (DSS) TC has approved
the DSS set
as a Committee Draft and submitted the package for public
review. The
specification defines an XML interface to process digital
signatures for
Web services and other applications. The public review ends
2 December
2006.

ITU-T/OASIS Prepare for Public Warning Workshop in Geneva
The "Joint ITU-T / OASIS Workshop and Demonstration of
Advances in ICT
Standards for Public Warning," to be held 19-20 Oct,
will feature
presentations from representatives of the European
Commission
Directorate General Information Society and Media, Swedish
Post and
Telecom Agency, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP),
United
Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs
(UN/OCHA),
United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural
Organization
(UNESCO), United States Department of Homeland Security,
World Health
Organization (WHO), and World Weather Watch. Warning Systems
and other
OASIS members will demonstrate interoperability of the CAP
OASIS
Standard. A reception for all attendees will be hosted by
Verisign.
