Folks,

http://merjis.com/developers/adwords_toolkit lists a bunch of
packages that get be installed under Ubuntu. I tried under 6.10 but
failed since most of the packages weren't found.

Am I missing something?

Should I be using GODI instead?

Thanks, Joel

Thanks Jon but it doesn't work with 6.10. Only the compiler, findlib
and one or two other packages are available.

Do you have the universe repository enabled? Only a subset of the
ocaml packages are available in the main Ubuntu repository. The
others listed on the site you mentioned should all be available once
the universe repository is enabled.

If Ubuntu is a Debian derivative then there are Debian packages for all of the
most popular OCaml libraries. Just do:

apt-get install liblablgl-ocaml-dev

etc.

Sorry to jump into this thread late.

I found that Ubuntu 6.10 has some really broken OCaml packages. It
looks to me like they built the Debian packages while
debian-ocaml-maint was doing one of their (fairly regular)
transitions. In particular, inclusion of Pcre, or any module which
depended on it, would result in interface mismatch errors.

Plain Debian is still the best for pre-packaged OCaml support.

(It pains me to say this, working now for Red Hat ...)

Rich.
