Well, actually the http://vityok.org.ua Wiki is using
OddMuseWiki:
http://www.oddmuse.org/cgi-bin/wiki

Just for experiment I have installed a DokuWiki (to
see how it looks
like in real life): http://vityok.org.ua/doku/doku.php

I have used these two just because they are easy to
install and
maintain, and, what is most important, they use a
filesystem to store
the data (and not a database). This simplifies
installation alot.

Actually, the idea is plain simple: try to install a
convenient and
nice looking Wiki and let people use it. Of course,
it will be nice
to import data from existing Wikis and to import data
from
documentation pages as it will simplify information
searches alot.

By the way, quite recently members of the Ukrainian
Python Developers
User Group were making very similar negotiations about
how to create a
public Wiki. They have choosen a MediaWiki You can
see it at
http://pywiki.com/

Based on my own experience, Wikis are getting more and
more important
as a place and a tool to build and to broaden the
community. Most of
the Open Source projects I have seen started to use
Wikis. Therefore,
I think, that the OCaml users community will benefit
from a common,
publically available Wiki.

I would register ocamlwiki.(com|org) and host it, but I'm just a
ocaml-beginner so I can't really put any (usable) content in there.

Greetings
Kai
