Hi,

Just wondering if it is possible to automatically log into a
dummy
account X at boot up?

Running iMac G3 here.

yes, there are ways to achieve that. But it may not be
simple. It also
depends a lot of what your goal is.

that's not a ppc specific question tough. misc or
x11
would have been
more appropriate lists.

Well I just wanted to auto login as I would on a (getty?)
terminal, no
X or whatever.

I searched over misc for it, but it seems like it is 386
specify
solution, so I thought I try it here first - it seems that
MacPPC only
has one virtual console on the screen when it boots up??

Concerning your last question, you can use screen to get
multiple consoles.
