numlockx

I asked this on misc first but got no replies, so I'm
taking it here.

NumLockX just won't do anything on either of my computers
(3.8), I'm 
stumped.  I tried both 1.0 from ports and 1.1 from 
http://ktown.kde.org/~seli/numlockx/numlockx-1.1.tar.gz, so I'm 
suspecting OpenBSD X11.  The relevant Xorg.0.log's and
xorg.conf's are

.  Any help would be appreciated.
