Hi,
though not 100% OpenCMS centric, but some people may have a
solution for
me. I'm trying to integrate a forum into my website. I was
thinking of
using MVNforum but had no luck yet in integrating it into my
current
OpenCMS which is installed as ROOT-application and I'm using
the rewrite
rules for stripping off the /opencms portion of the path.
Does MVNForum use "normal" Opencms users or does
it use "Web Users"?
Is there other forum software that I could make use of?

We have a MVNForum module. Don't see any problem. If you
deploy OpenCms
and MVNForum as root, the serlet pathes for MVNForum should
be /opencms/mvnform/ and /opencms/mvnforumadmin/.

Depands on your requirement I think. The only difference is
to use
simple password or md5 password.

Does it mean, there is an option or choice in MVNForum? I
thought it
would have to be programmed and the API is differen for
Webusers vs.
OpenCMS-users.

Yes, it has to be programmed. AFAIK, in OpenCms 6.2.x,
webuser and user
is in the same table, and you can store the additional info
of webuser
eithor in mvnform's table or opencms webuser table.

Can anyone help me with installation of MVNForum? I'm still
getting
some DBInit error (6.2.2, Tomcat 6.0, MySQL 5.0).
