To All
I have completed the fork of the openh323_plugins branch of
OpenH323 to the
h323plus CVS. There is a little bit more testing to do but
we should have a
development release ready next week. The first development
release will
begin at 1.19.5 (ptlib 1.12.0) to continue from where
OpenH323 left off.

Special Notes:
1. The repository only contains the h323plus library and
applications. The
Ptlib library will be held in the OpalVoIP repository and I
will be actively
supporting it's development however snapshots will be made
available from
the h323plus website to avoid need to access both
repositories. The same
applies to audio/video plugins which will be compatible with
both projects.
2. Namespace changes
Linux: No name space changes the new library should drop
straight in where
openh323 left off.
Windows: The library is now only a static h323plus.lib &
h323plusd.lib and
the DLL build version has been dropped.
3. Large amount of house cleaning over existing openh323
with a lot of the
less important code depreciated. Note: LID support has been
dropped. A
roadmap to add a plugin architecture is planned for the
future.
3. The applications that will be actively maintained
OpenMCU (large development plans)
MyPhone2 (for windows)
OpenAM (DB backend to integrate with GnuGk for VoiceMail)
Simple
If there is any others that you would like supported please
let me know.
4. GnuGk CVS already supports h323plus and numerous new
features such as
LDAP, SNMP, H.460 NAT traversal, QoS reporting are available
with the
h323plus library.
5. PacPhone will be migrating to h323plus so it will support
app sharing and
MCU conference controls as of the next major release.
Hopefully migration for existing openh323 based applications
should not be
too painful but provide a much broader array of features.
Feel free to contact me if you have any queries or join the
h323plus mailing
list.
