Thread: controlling the margins of the 'grey border'

controlling the margins of the 'grey border'

Hello
Our Java application uses an embedded instance of an
OpenOffice document
in a 3-inch by 4-inch window for the taking of classified
ads in wysiwyg
mode; we operate the window at 150% zoom and interact with
it via
XInterfaces and a Uno bridge. The rest of the GUI real
estate is
consumed by the controls for the parameters of the
classified ad (the
text manager is in fact just one of several tabs).

Is there any way to control (reduce actually) the width of
the grey
border to the Top and Left of the text editing window. This
is not the
equivalent of the M$-Word 'normal-mode' nor of the OO
'online-view' as
neither of these are wysiwyg. There seems to be no
compelling reason for
the OO presentation to consume half to three-fourths of an
inch of
valuable space in our viewport; yet there seems to be no way
to manage
this - or have I missed something?
Thanx
John Sisson
