Sounds like the soffice process is crashing.

yes I know. Luckily we use this slide/program only for
internal process.
To track it down is on my TODO list but not in high priority
(I have
limited resources for it). I don't know if I can help in any
way.

I'm pointing to check it in OpenOffice 2.3 but I have some
other
problems with it and Python-Uno :-(
