Yes, you're absolutely right. I was able to reproduce your
problem and I 
saw the calling of MakeVisible() on the stack (a side effect
of 
getString()). Unfortunately I don't have a work-around for
you which 
suppresses this behavior via API :-(
Please submit an issue via issuezilla with your macro. We
have to fix 
this problem in the Writer code.

We have to fix

Okay,I will do that... is there any other alternative than
using
getString()  to get the text content for the range ? (I
guess not...
:-( ... )
