OpenOffice 2 Add-ins require Java 1.5 --> UnsupportedClassVersionError to blame

again, it seems that you do something completely wrong.
"javamaker" 
generates code which is compatible for java 1.4.2 and 1.5.

Are you sure that your IDE doesn't use Java 1.5 to compile
your component?

I have test this scenario several times and it works fine as
expected.

I can offer that you can send me your sources (private
email, even to my 
Sun address Juergen Schmidt if you prefer this way) and i
will check it.
