I do NOT know if there is something similar for OOo, BUT
there are
definitely more advanced solutions than the Chart OWC using
various
state of the art programs (e.g. using R, http://cran.R-project.org/
).
IF you need powerful statistical plots/graphics I can point
you at the
Mediawiki R-extension
(http://mars.wiwi.hu-berlin.de/medi
awiki/sk/index.php/R_Extension_for_MediaWiki)
page, which allows you to run R programs within the
Mediawiki and to
display graphics, HTML output and raw output in the Wiki
pages.
