By default, OpenOffice.org will automatically notify you
when software updates
are available. This feature requiring Internet access can be
configured from any
OpenOffice.org application using Tools | Options |
OpenOffice.org | Online
Update. In a multi-user installation, this will change the
settings only for the
current user.

Installation of update notification is optional. To disable
installation, select
Custom Setup.
