We mark the files
<ooo-home>/share/template/<lang>/wizard/bitmap
language
dependent in ooo-build, see the attached patch.

We need it because we build all languages at once. Then we
create only small
packages with the language dependent stuff. The other common
stuff is shared.
Without the patch, all the language specific copies of the
bitmaps ends in the
common package.

Even better solution would be to move the bitmaps to a
common place and do not
duplicate them for all languages at all.

What do you think?

Huh, the patch is really useless. It was very old patch even
for 1.1.x. I wonder
why someone ported it for 2.0 without checking. I should
have double check it.

Regarding your question, we already create language specific
packages that can
be installed in parallel, so more localizations might be
installed at once. Then
we have one package with the common stuff that is shared by
all localizations. I
thought that without the patch, all copies of the files
would end in the common
package. I was wrong.

I agree that there is not a good solution at this time. I am
looking forward to
see a nice rework in OOo-3.x
