I did upgrade from 2.2 to 2.3 on two systems on running XP
32bit and one on XP
64bit. The 64bit one did not uninstall 2.2 but the 32bit one
did. I wonder if it
is because on XP64 OOo (as all 32bit applications) installs
int he "Program
Files (x86)" folder by default not the "Program
Files" folder (where XP64 puts
64bit apps).

It looks as if you try to upgrade a 32bit Office with a
64bit Office? This won't
 do it.

Nope, don't even know where you would get a 64bit version of
OOo. If that was
the case it would put 2.3 in "Program Files"
folder not in the "Program Files
(x86) folder.
