During installation of OO 2.3, after first steps of
unpacking, selection of
package, installation starts with message "The program
features You selected are
beeing installed.." Below says: "Status: Removing
applications" and after two
thirds of process bar comes error message:
Error 1714.
The older version of OpenOffice.org 2.3 cannot be removed.
Contact your
technical support group.

I've read another issue on subject 1714. The advice there
tells to run MSI clear
setup utility. So I've run msicuu.exe. This presents a list
to remove. But OO
2.3 is not in the list. And after all this didn't help
either.

I'm so sad as wanted to migrate from OO2.2 to OO2.3. Doing
this and with the
error the fact now is I have no OpenOffice at all...

Hello again,
might the error occur due to a security problem with
REGISTRY updates by MSI?
Which keys are referenced?

I've checked whole registry, but there is no key or value
OPENOFFICE in my 
registry. There is no doubt about this.

And after this:
