Test Automators of the Quality Assurance.

More than one answer, depending on WHAT kind of test.

1. At development stage (CWS)
-> for resource tests of new / changed features

2. By request of the QA
-> for functional tests

3. Own initiative
-> if there are problems, white areas of no testing,
the test automators decide often to create test cases

Great idea!

That's what we also do here in the Automated GUI Testing
project at Sun.

OOo is supporting more platforms than StarOffice, so it
would make sense
to share the results of that work. That was also the idea of
a "Google
Summer Of Code" project but it has not been accepted
by Google...

Maybe we (also Thorsten Bosbach from the same project team
will be
there) can talk about your idea in Lyon face to face?

Jogi

ok
Moreover, even of same plateforms, context are perharps
different

so i'll launch this as an experiment with french volunteers
(well, other
are welcommed, but first weeks will be for setup)

The main thing to work on is the reporting so that it does
not disturb
the existing process and gives usefull informations
For a first shoot, What about an IZ gathering result files
containing
errors + a summarry filled by each testers
I'm totally open to suggestions ...

I think the work can be organized on a wiki (a matrix with a
new line at
each version, contains status of the test and IZ number)

Sure !!!!

But i'll have the Extensions meeting at the same time that
the QA
meeting. I think we can manage to find some time after

Bye
