OOo2.0.3rc5 was tested with Win98SE ? I got a lot of crashes here

Hi there.

I installed OOo_2.0.3rc5_060531_Win32Intel_install_pt-BR.exe
today in two
Win98SE machines here in my work.

We can't use it.
After some seconds OOo crashes. No matter the app open
(Base, Calc,Writer)

As OOo seems that can't get stack traces to send in
Win98SE (see issue
64352 - http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=64352)
I can't send
no data to you. But we got a problem here.

I checked the md5sum before install... the hash is ok.

Someone can reproduce any behavior like this using Win98SE ?

Thank you.

See this topic, you're not the only one:

It crashes on multiple locales under both 98SE and ME.

So, is there a 2.0.3 that is not supported on 98SE or is
this a stopper?

Win98 and WinME appear to be unsupported with OpenOffice.org
2.0 as far
as I know.

Not so. I have 2.0.2 running happily on 98SE, NE and 98SE
under VMWare
Server....

If 2.0.3 won't run (I haven't yet downloaded the RC to
check), then this is a
stopper.

Has this been reported as Issue? If not yet, please report
it as p2! If
more localizations are affected, we need to know how many
localizations
are affected!

I can only tell, that german localization has been tested
(at least
basic functionality) without major problems.

Win98 is still a supported platform. So based on the
affected
localizations this should be escalated as stopper.

I don't think this is specific to a single localisation.
en-GB has also
been seen not to work properly. This is more likely to be
down to a set
of computer circumstances. ME has been seen to crash too so
we are
looking at anything non-NT based being affected.

Here's an issue:
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=66082
This time it's under ME.

I tried the danish localization on Win98SE and it seems to
be OK. I just
testet a few functions, and text-cells in calc

are there any test I can run that for sure will crash 2.0.3
on win98
