Problem when trying to open an Access Database with OpenOffice Base

Hi,

I have tried to open a .mdb file with OpenOffice Base.

The Access file size is about 10MB. I don't know with which
version of
Access the file has been created, but it should not be older
than Access 97.
Behaviour : after a few minutes, OpenOffice tries to open
the file with
OpenOffice Writer. Of course the result is of no use.
Nothing is opened in
OpenOffice Base.

OS : Win XP SP2
JRE : 1.4.2
Microsoft Access Database Driver is present and has been
selected in
OpenOffice Base.

As advised, an OpenOffice database cleverly named
"New_Database" has been
created before performing the operation.
