Well sort of the wrong forum.  This forum is for discussing
the documentation produced by the project and not for
general user-level help. Use usersopenoffice.org for such
questions.

Nonetheless, the answer to your question, based on the
information you have given, is to use another email client
and make that the default. Try Thunderbird.
