Gasp ... reaching surface again.
The problem was two-fold, and it depended solely on the
timezone setting.
One, ICU now incorporates also Olson timezone transitions
historical data and
even the timezone may differ for different dates. This
caused the weird behavior
that a date display changed value on cell cursor travels
respectively mouse
clicks, depending on what the previously set value was.
Compensated.
Two, it seems that ICU between 2.6 and 3.6 changed ZONE/DST
handling, part of
the workaround introduced for issue 17222 and issue 24082
isn't necessary
anymore but actually made things fail instead. This was the
cause of certain
date input not being accepted as date. Reworked.
