Using Ubuntu 7.10 OOo 2.3, I have the following issue.  I
load OOo, create a new
spreadsheet, highlight the first cell, right click, choose
Format Cells and the
program locks up.  Same behaviour if I go through the menus
to open cell formatting.

Having similar problems trying to sort cells in document on
Sheet3 by selecting
top range (evident in file) and then attempting to sort
through the menus.  Have
I got a corrupted file or a corrupted install?  Help plz
(but of course)

I guess you are using the version packaged by Ubuntu which
has some problems,
especially with certain Ubuntu/Gnome themes.
I suggest you to try the official 2.3.0 version.

That is correct, that is why I posted what I did about
having found the answer
after I reported the bug.  I thought I had searched enough
for an answer, but I
guess not.

Hi,

so the problem is rtelated to the Ubuntu version of OOo and
therefore is closed
worksforme as it is not reproducible with an OOo from the
OOo site.
