Text filed (like author) in rectangle or in oval

Hi!
 
I wanted to create funny first page with gradients, but I
found that I
can't insert filed (like text or page number) into these
element. Is it
correct observation? Or did I miss something? Are you
planning to add
this functionality, or may I have to fill an issue?

draw objects cannot contain Writer elements like fields. I
suggest to 
work around this by putting a Writer text frame on top of
the draw 
object, insert the field in the Writer text frame and set
the background 
of the Writer text frame to 100% transparency and its
borders to 'none'.
