Menu disappearing after previewing a document and crash

I've just found a bug : Try to preview your document, close
preview
and then, the contents of native menus will disappear (or
not)

but after a little bit of time OOo will crash....

Could you reproduce it ?

Hello

I cannot reproduce it on Intel iMac with OOo 2.2 RC4
(Dutch).
Nothing out of order happens.

Not with 2.2.0 RC4 for Mac OS X Intel.

Do you use PPC?

We, german community, had a similiar Issue on Linux or
Windows for
I think it was 2.1.0 but I couldn't reproduce this bug back
then
either.

Kind regards,
Eric

Hello,

I wonder if Damien was not talking about aqua port pre alpha
version and
not X11 macosx version...

this is caused by the fact that I want do display clean
menubar when
the menubar is not defined for the window. Search for FIXME
in
salmenu.cxx.

If my assertion above is correct, then it won't be
reproducible in
the rc.

Hi Pavel,

I briefly fiddled with Quickstarter code (i.e. enabled it on
Mac, one
line change).

The idea was to use that code to enable Mac Aqua OOo to have
only
menubar visible (not quitting!) when all the windows are
closed.

However, this causes the problem that menus really are
empty, when
there's no windows, as you said, and that's not what is
supposed to
happen on Mac OS X.

      Mox

As a side note, when/if we ever fix this, the other OOo
legacy feature
should be fixed too: the thing that we can separately close
document
area (i.e. the text-writing area), while leaving the rest of
the
window open (including toolbars). This is not Mac OS X
behaviour
