| Next tasks for Aqua version |

Hi,
I did a little point on the Aqua Macport, and looks like we
finally
progressed a lot: the current version works fine, and only
one non
repeatable crash is known.
To continue, I wrote a quick list of the remaining tasks (I
got another
list), and I suggest that we use it as starting point for
the next 2
weeks, and make a point then. For important tasks, I
proposed ACTION
ITEMS. Feel free to contribute ...
1) well defined tasks, could fit in aquavcl04 to be created
See the document :
http://eric.bachard
.free.fr/mac/aquavcl/todo/october_2007/aqua_Top15_of_tasks_7
th_october.rtf
ACTION ITEM 1 : define which issue put in aquavcl04, and
who works on
every issue.
2) Another important task will be doing some cleanup in the
following
issues list.
See the document :
http://eric.bachard.f
ree.fr/mac/aquavcl/todo/october_2007/to_be_implemented_7th_O
ctober.rtf
... means, it's necessary to set the correct status of the
issue
mentioned in it (some functions are maybe already
implemented. Of course
any help is welcome fo implement the missing one ;)
ACTION ITEM 2 : define who will work on what, taking the
document above
as reference
3) cws in progress (or to be soon )
New tasks (cws already created, or will be) :
ACTION ITEM 3:
Complete the Teams, guessing _at_least_ 2 people are working
together
for every
* aquaquicklook: implement quicklook on Leopard
Issue : http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=82260
( +
issue 68600 )
People: fheckl XXXX
* macleopardbuild : fix OpenOffice.org build on Leopard, and
make Tiger
builds work on Leopard
Issue : http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=82350

People: msicotte, XXXX
* macosxdnd : drag and drop for Aqua version
Issue : http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=79620
People: tra, XXX
Othe work in progress :
Ready for QA and close to be approved :
* aquavcl03 ( first part of Cocoa migration) is under QA,
and wil
probably be integrated soon
* spotlightplugin01: waiting for a build on PowerPC, but
should be
approved by QA
* readme4macintel: add Mac Intel infos in the readme
* wae4extensions : make extensions warning free at buildtime
( issue 81612 )
* pj86: make sw warning free at buildtime ( issue 81574 )

Last but not least, people are invited to verify and set the
correct
status of issue with aqua keyword
Thanks in advance for your contribution

Hi,
I'm back after some busy weeks. Now that I should have more
spare time
to contribute, I'm ok to work on a task: I propose to do
task #4: Use
native print dialog box (issue 77583)
Kind regards
Ismael

Hi,
your help is as always very much appreciated. However I
consider this
task rather involved. Basically we'll have to make the print
dialog
behave like the file picker, namely define a UNO interface
for it and
implement a standard service implementation (which would be
the current
dialog), then implement the same interface using native
methods. Then
all occurrences using PrintDialog and PrinterSetupDialog
need to be
replaced by invoking said new service. There supposedly also
are
occurences where the currently dialog is passed around and
misused as a
container for the JobSetup it produces as a result, so these
places
would have to be adjusted to use a JobSetup as well.
If I remember correctly ybart had already begun to play with
this,
perhaps he has some insight.
Kind regards, pl

If you give someone a program, you will frustrate them for a
day;
if you teach them how to program, you will frustrate them
for a lifetime.

Please give me a hint when and where it has been fixed
because it has to
be attached to the
Tools / Options / OOo / General ...
------- Open/Save dialogs
[ ] use OOo dialogs
option because we would hinder automated testing if we can
not disable
the native dialogs....
I would like to suggest an UI change
------- Open/Save dialogs
to
------- System dialogs
and then it makes sense also to attach the native printer
dialog to it.
