I'm sorry, I did not make myself clear. I am not a
programmer and have
absolutely no idea what one would do with a "milestone
build", I'm a
user. The version I installed is still the version that is
posted as a
"stable' alpha when OpenOffice.org *users* click the
links starting from
the Downloads page on the main stie. I was just offering a
heads up that
the version # on the splash graphic says 2.2. Therefore you
might find
users entering issues or posting to lists saying "I'm
using version 2.2"
because, although the correct version is to be found in a
Finder window
or in fine print in the About dialog, "2.2" is
what stands out to the eye.
so my suggestion for the next "stable" build is to
correct the logo so
the common folk like me are sure what version they are
using.
btw, OOo for Mac has come a long way in the past year, since
I last
tried using it (but simply could not deal with X11 for the
lack of
copy-paste with other apps, and having to use Ctrl insteadof
Cmd on a
Mac, and so on)
KUDOS to all of you Mac port programmers!!!
