I thought that many people would have this opinion. Though I

wonder if ordinary users are happy to hear about the
developer talk
that goes on.

Unfortunately the good-day server wouldn't cope with the
demand with
all the aqua milestones and all the interest that would be
generated.
The mirror and bittorrent networks are needed (at least for
the most
commonly requested builds).
