OpenPBX status/roadmap/goals?

OpenPBX seems to have been fairly quiet for a while. What is
its status?
Is there any attempt (or intention) to track asterisk
changes or is it
pretty much completely divorced and diverging?

I ask because I've looked at asterisk code, submitted some
fixes, but,
well, it ain't pretty in there if you know what I mean...
